PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candidate selection system for selecting a candidate of a type driving data in many presented personal histories using an independent evaluation variable in common and contrasting it with a desired characteristic. SOLUTION: A processor 12 for executing a candidate selection program is programmed in advance so that it includes a list of desired characteristics that an ideal candidate possesses for a position. Each presented personal history is evaluated, data inputting from the personal history is normalized 90, and a value expressing added points from a viewpoint of demanded and desired subordinate characteristic inherent to a specific candidate is generated.
