PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum provider among a plurality of providers that can be used by an information terminal connected to a home network in accordance with a utilization situation. SOLUTION: The information terminal capable of utilizing the plurality of providers searches available providers at the point of the time (steps A01 to A04), selects one provider among the providers that are searched for (steps A05 to A10) and performs connection processing to the Internet by using the selected provider (steps A11 and A12).
