PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of recording information at a high speed by irradiating a disk with a high power light in recording and also capable of improving the reproducing speed by reading information from a plurality of tracks at a time in reproducing as well. SOLUTION: The optical pickup device is provided with a polarization direction rotating element which rotates two polarization directions and a polarizing diffraction grating, and an optical device which divides a luminous flux from a light source into a plurality of luminous fluxes is provided. |
