PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic measurement device that relieve a communication load of a central device and enhances the communication efficiency. SOLUTION: An automatic measurement means 35 (central device) transmits a measurement instruction signal including 'group measurement information' to measure working electric energy of subscribers' houses 100, 100a belonging to a group 1, 'group identification information' denoting the group 1, and 'measurement information' denoting the measurement of the working electric energy to a measurement adaptor provided in each subscriber's house via a CATV channel 20. Measurement adaptors 12, 12a of the subscribers' houses 100, 100a receive the measurement instruction signal, discriminate the measurement of the group to which the adaptor belongs, measures the working electric energy, and calculates transmission timing on the basis of the subscriber identification information set to itself. Then the measurement signal including the working electric energy is transmitted to the automatic measurement means 25 on the basis of its own transmission timing. |
