PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a movable connector, to reduce the attaching area on a board, increase attaching strength to a board, and enhance reliability of electrical connection. SOLUTION: The movable connector 1 is provided with an insulated housing 2, contacts 4 retained near a fitting part 12 of the housing 2, and a retention leg (metallic fitting member) 70 retained by the housing 2 and fixed to a board P. The retention leg 70 is provided with a mounted part 73 to be mounted to the housing 2 and fitted part 76 to be fitted to the board P connected to the mounted part 73 at a position separated away from a surface 5 of the circuit board P. Since the contacts 4 and the retention leg 70 are flexible with respect to the housing 2, the connector can be a movable connector capable of absorbing positional deviation from the counterpart connector by moving on the surface 5 of the board P.
