PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide support for a solid electrolyte being excellent in mechanical strength while preventing shorting and having high electrical conductivity. SOLUTION: The support for the solid electrolyte is formed of a layered nonwoven fabric including at least a layer containing fibers which can be gelled by a certain nonaqueous solvent, and a layer made up of fibers other than the gellable fibers.
