PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disturbance due to a pressing plate inside a banknote storage part for facilitating bill withdrawing operation when accumulated banknotes are taken out from the banknote storage part after a door on the front face of the banknote storage part is opened. SOLUTION: The pressing plate 353 pressing the accumulated banknotes from the upper side is arranged in the banknote storage part 31, while the door 310 is arranged on the front face of the banknote storage part. The banknote storage part 31 is also provided with a pressing plate lifting mechanism 60 interlocks with the door 310 for lifting the pressing plate 353 to a predetermined ascent position when the door 310 is opened. By means of the plate lifting mechanism 60 provided with a link mechanism 61, which is connected to the upper end part of the banknote storage part 31 and the pressing plate 353 and can be extended/shrunk in the vertical direction, and an interlocking mechanism 62 interlocking the door 310 and the link mechanism 61, the pressing plate 353 is lifted to the predetermined ascent position interlockingly with the door 310 when the door 310 is opened.
