PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conduction polymer secondary battery excellent in capacity and cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: In the proton conduction polymer secondary battery, the positive and negative electrodes are arranged oppositely to each other across a separator within an electrolyte, and only protons of an indole trimer and a π-conjugate polymer which are electrode active materials take port in the positive and negative electrodes or only protons of a hydroxyl group participate in charging and discharging. The electrolyte used is such that the concentrations of protons and anions in the electrolyte are 5 to 40% and 30 to 60%, respectively, with at least the concentration of anions being higher than the concentration of protons. |
