PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a display screen efficiently and to display an image on the display screen in an easily viewable state by automatically displaying the image with the optimum variable power rate on the display screen. SOLUTION: An image display controller is equipped with: a screen size information acquiring part 12; an image information acquiring part 13 which acquires information about the longitudinal and lateral sizes of the image; an operation part 14a which computes the variable power rate of the image so that at least one of the sizes of the longitudinal and lateral directions is in agreement with or nearly in agreement with the longitudinal or lateral display size of a display screen 11; and a display control part 7 which displays the image on the display screen 11 with the computed variable power rate. |
