摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved high efficiency battery charger for sensing a charging current. SOLUTION: A battery charger integrated circuit(IC) is suitable for control of operation of a back-converter and comprises a serial switch for receiving a current from an external power source and supplying a current to the battery in the charging condition, and a current sensing resistor which is connected in series between the external power source and battery, to allow a current to flow into the battery under the charging condition. Moreover, this battery charger IC also comprises a pulse width modulation switch drive circuit for supplying an electrical signal suitable for repeated on and off conditions of the serial switch and a charging current sensing circuit for receiving an electrical signal indicting a current supplied to the battery, under the charging condition and then amplifying this signal. This charging current sensing circuit is further provided with a bridge circuit, to which the electric signal received from the current-sensing resistor is connected.
