PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost timer device using a constant exciting relay instead of using a latch relay as an output relay for a timer device that uses capacitor potential divider power source. SOLUTION: A direct current voltage is generated by capacitor potential divider, and this voltage is supplied to a time switch part 6 and a coil 74 of the constant excitation relay 70, and the coil 74 is excited by the one shop signal from a terminal 65a at the 'time-in' time and the contact point 73 is turned to 'on' state. After the contacting operation, the transistor 8b is driven by the signal from a terminal 65b, and a holding current is flown to the coil 74 via a series resistor 10, and the operation state of the relay 70 is continued. When the 'time-off' time arrives, the transistor 8b is turned to 'off' state, and relay is switched to 'off'. By restricting the coil current by holding current, the load of the capacitor potential divider power source is reduced and the voltage drop is prevented.
