PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device controlling method capable of safely and efficiently performing management operation of a network device. SOLUTION: This network device controlling method is to retrieve a device operation database(DB) 26 and to check whether or not a requested operation is a device management operation, when a local or remote UI service requests a device operation from a device operation manager 25. In the case of the device management operation, the device management operation can be carried out only when the device management operation is received from a specific user interface, the device management operation from the other user interfaces is inhibited while the operation is carried out, and any normal device operation other than the device management operation can also be carried out.
