摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cross connect device which can suppress signal deterioration and can be provided in small scale on a network for transmitting a wavelength-multiplexed signal. SOLUTION: To wavelength-multiplexed signals inputted from multiple optical fibers 1, first of all, wavelength-multiplexes signal units are switched by a first optical switch 2. Among the wavelength-multiplexed signals, only a wavelength-multiplexed subjected to more precise switching is demultiplexed to M wavelength groups by a wavelength group demultiplexer 5, and switching in unit of wavelength group is performed by second optical switches 7-1 to 7-M. Among the wavelength groups, only the wavelength group requiring wavelength signal unit switching and signal insertion separation is demultiplexed to each wavelength by wavelength demultiplexers 10-1 to 10-M, the wavelength signal unit is switched over and the signal is inserted/separated by third optical switches 11-1 to 11-M.
