PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that allows a terminal to make real-time two-way communication with an opposite terminal, whose IP address provided at log-on is different from that at preceding log-on and copes with future increase in users with a margin, and to provide a videophone communication method utilizing the this communication system. SOLUTION: The communication system provides a connection number to each of terminals on a network and managed by each group in order to discriminate each of the terminals from other terminals, while including information to specify its belonging group to the connection number, and provides account servers managing the cross-reference between the connection number and the IP address and whose number corresponds to number of the groups. Each terminal directly transmits the connection number of an opposite terminal, with which the terminal is about to conduct communication to the account server managing the opposite terminal, receives the IP address of the opposite terminal from the server and conducts communication with the opposite terminal by using the IP address. |
