PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication network database constructing method and an optical communication network disaster-stricken condition grasping method in which a test of an optical cable required for grasping a disaster-stricken condition of an optical communication network is carried out with high precision. SOLUTION: This method executes a process of accumulating facilities data of an optical cable 1 in a facilities information database 6 whenever a laying construction and a facilities change construction of the optical cable 1 may be carried out in telephone stations A and B; a process of recording the facilities data which has been once accumulated in the facilities information database 6 in a record medium 15; a process of testing in each optical cable 1 based on the facilities data supplied from the record medium 15 which has recorded the facilities data obtained by the above processes to a transportable optical cable tester 12, to record the corresponding test results data in the record medium 15; and a process of taking the test results data recorded in the record medium 15 in a database system 14, so that a distribution of a communication disaster-stricken area shown by the test results data is visually displayed on a map referring to a map database 7. |
