PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover the sensitivity of an organic dye recording medium and to realize recording at a high linear velocity by contriving a pulse strategy. SOLUTION: In the recording method to an optical recording medium for forming the recording mark of recorded data nT (T is a reference clock period) by irradiating the optical recording medium having a recording layer including organic dye on a transparent substrate with laser beams for recording which is pulse-divided into n-2 pieces (n is an integer >=2) (provided, one piece in the case of n=2), the length of a leading pulse is 1.7 T to 2.4 T and the lengths of the second and succeeding pulses (multi pulses) are 0.7 T to <1.0 T. |
