PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device and its manufacturing method which enable to satisfy with low cost all conditions of weight saving, thinning, making large-sized. SOLUTION: An organic EL element is formed by forming a positive electrode, fitting a spacer using a photosensitive resin material on the positive electrode which is to become a luminous area, and then, forming a luminous layer including an organic material, and a negative electrode layer in that order, which is then sealed by a sealing substrate to make up the organic EL display device. Even if the substrate of the sealed organic EL display device is sagged, the existence of the spacer in the luminous area restrains leak, short- circuiting or the like generated when the sealing substrate or the like strikes against the organic EL elements. |
