PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proximity switch where its integration circuit can immediately output a signal corresponding to an oscillating state of an oscillation circuit when a radio wave detection circuit detects no radio wave being a cause to malfunction. SOLUTION: The proximity switch is provided with an oscillation circuit whose usual oscillation state changes with the attendance on an object approaching the proximity switch, a detection circuit that detects a level of the oscillating state outputted from the oscillation circuit, an integration circuit that integrates an output of the detection circuit into a DC voltage, a comparator circuit that compares an output of the integration circuit with a reference voltage to provide an output denoting whether the object is detected or not, and a radio wave detection circuit that disables an output of the object detection signal to be outputted from the comparator circuit, and the proximity switch is characterized in that the output of the radio wave detection signal of the radio wave detection circuit is given to the integration circuit so that the output level of the integration circuit reaches a prescribed level at which no object is detected.
