PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation power amplifier that controls the amplitude and the phase of each harmonic component of a distorted signal so as to stably eliminate the distorted signal in the main amplifier. SOLUTION: The distortion compensation power amplifier is configured such that the main signal component is eliminated from a signal generated from distortion generating amplifiers 21, 22 of distortion eliminating blocks 501, 502 corresponding to each harmonic component, the obtained distorted signal in each harmonic is independently controlled in each harmonic so as to have the same amplitude as and the opposite phase to those of the distorted signal of the main signal and the controlled signal is superimposed on the main signal and the resulting signal is applied to the main amplifier. Thus, the generated amount of distortion in the main amplifier can be reduced. Thus, the distortion compensation power amplifier is obtained, where the accuracy of eliminating distortion is enhanced and the distorted signal from the main amplifier can stably be reduced.
