PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color reproduction system which can attain color reproduction in which the colors of the object and the reproduced image matches exactly also for an observer having different color perception characteristics from those of the standard observer. SOLUTION: The color reproduction system is equipped with a six primary color display 104 which has the number of the elementary colors of four or more, and an image conversion device 103 which converts the inputted color information into the color picture signal of each primary color of the six primary color display 104 before inputting the color information into the six elementary color display 104. The inputted color information has four or more dimensions.
