PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of an anti-lock braking device by a regenerative brake without causing 'sense of sudden fall of G' while making effective use of the regenerative brake as much as possible, in the braking device for vehicle, capable of using both frictional braking and regenerative braking. SOLUTION: This brake device includes a motor 1, capable of generating the driving force of a vehicle and regenerative braking force at deceleration and braking, and is structured the frictional braking with a mechanical brake 4 and the regenerative braking through the motor 1 can be used in combination, and a control means 7, when an operation start detecting means 7A detects the operation start of anti-lock brake control, stops the regenerative braking force corresponding to brake pedal operating amount and takes only the regenerative braking force, corresponding to engine brake based on detection information from the operation start detecting means 7A.
