PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform changeover of picture display in dot units without storing picture data in a deforming process. SOLUTION: A display control part 100 reads the picture data from a ROM 104, and displays them on a CRT 108. When changing over a picture, a picture deformation control circuit 106 makes a comparison between the pictures before and after the changeover, and checks whether or not display and non-display states of each dot vary. Then, the control circuit specifies coordinates on the CRT 108 using a random number data S105 generated by a random number generation circuit 105, and repeatedly executes the processing of switching between the display and non-display states of the coordinates when the specified coordinates correspond to the dots varying in the display and non-display states when switching.
