PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document printing system in which a portable device can make an instruction by an easy instructing method and server contents can be outputted to the nearest printer or the like. SOLUTION: This document printing system of a network configuration is provided with a contents server 4 for storing document contents, the portable device 1 capable of communicating with the server 4 and an MFP 2 for printing the document contents in the server 4 through a network. The portable device 1 is provided with an address acquiring means for acquiring the address the nearest MFP 2 and a print requesting means for transmitting a print request that requests a contents output to the MFP 2 of the acquired address to the server 4. The server 4 is provided with a contents transmitting means for transmitting document contents designated by the print request to the MFP 2 of the address received from the portable device 1, and the MFP 2 is provided with a printing means for printing received document contents. |
