PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic controller capable of accurately executing the data initialization of a data memory when parameter allocation in the data memory is changed according to the change of a control program. SOLUTION: An ECU 1 is provided with a microcomputer 4, a flash ROM 6, and an EEPROM 8 or the like. The flash ROM 6 stores a control program, and the EEPROM 8 stores various control data. At the time of changing the control program accompanied with the change of the parameter allocation of the EEPROM 8, new version information is stored in the flash ROM 6. At the time of supplying a power source, the microcomputer 4 compares the version information of the flash ROM 6 with the version information of the EEPROM 8, and when the version informations are not mutually coincident as the result of the comparison, the microcomputer 4 executes the data initialization of the EEPROM 8. |
