PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightning protecting system that reduces maintenance/ inspection and periodical replacement works by storing a state of a lightning impulse voltage impressed on a protecting element, without using operation power supply of a device. SOLUTION: This protective element, that stores a lightning impulse voltage has a marker, the color of which changes irreversibly due to Joule's heat that is caused by an impulse current, that flows in the lightning impulse voltage protecting element.
