METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND DISPLAYING MOVING IMAGE USING PUBLIC TELEPHONE LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting and displaying a moving image to a receiving device from a transmitting device by using a public telephone line. SOLUTION: When the transmission request of the moving image is given, the transmitting device stores the moving image which is image-picked up by an imaging means at prescribed time intervals as compressed image signal data, converts it into packet data having prescribed data length in a stored order and transmits it to the receiving device. The receiving device sequentially stores image signal data included in received packet data in the storage device of the receiving device. When the reception of image signal data of the prescribed time interval is terminated, image signal data stored in the storage device is decoded and is displayed on a display device at the speed of not less than 24 frames record.
