PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum recording, reproducing and editing methods and data structure where tracks peculiar to audio recording can easily be managed while video recording specification is provided to record data on an information related to the sound on a reacted storage medium. SOLUTION: The medium 100 having a sound information area 133 storing sound information on a prescribed track unit, a still picture information area 132 storing one or above still picture information related with information and a management information area 130 storing management information on the track in sound information. The management information area 130 includes the information area 156 of a user definition chain managing a reproduction order which a user can arbitrarily designate. The information area 156 of the user definition program chain includes the storage areas 171 to 173 of entry point information (track head entry point) of sound information. Entry point information includes still picture designation information designating the still picture.
