PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system where vibration attended with reaction of a motion of a diaphragm can be suppressed by a speaker unit itself so as to obtain sound quality with an excellent transient characteristic even in the case of mount on an enclosure. SOLUTION: A weight 23 is mounted on a rear side of a magnetic circuit 25 of the speaker unit 22. The weight 23 is joined with a rear side of a center pole 27 of the magnetic circuit 25 at a tip of a boss 37 projected forward by a bolt 38. The magnetic circuit 25 and a voice coil 29 transduce and electric signal into mechanical vibration and even when a reaction caused at emission of a sound wave from a diaphragm 24 is delivered to the magnetic circuit 25, the weight 23 damps the vibration to obtain the sound quality with an excellent transient characteristic.
