PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic locker system capable of eliminating a key for locking and unlocking, used for a coin locker and capable of automatically also setting locker rental fee with a credit card via a communication line. SOLUTION: This electronic locker system comprises a box 11 for storing a baggage, a read means 12c for electrically reading a user identifier, predetermined by a contract between locker 1 management company and a locker user; an electrical lock 12h for locking the door of the box when the baggage is kept in the box; and a central control device 12a for sending the user from the user identifier read by the reading means to a locker management center via the communication line and unlocking the electrical lock, when the identifier is the user identifier read at the retrieval of the baggage and sending the necessary information, such as a baggage-keeping fee to the locker management center via the communication line TL. The storage and retrieval of the baggage into and from the locker can be performed, only by using the user identifier.
