PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission line and an optical transmission line management method, with which the dispersion of distribution characteristics between respective optical transmission lines can be decreased and the dispersion of distribution characteristics between the respective optical transmission lines can be decreased into ignorable degree even when the number of wavelength-multiplexed waves is increased. SOLUTION: A distributed manage fiber 5 is linked into first and fourth optical fibers while being interrupted before a distribution compensating fiber 2, a wavelength distribution value lowered by a distributed shift fiber 1 is compensated by the distributed manage fiber 5 and the distribution compensating fiber 2 and in second and third optical fibers, the wavelength distribution value lowered by the distributed shift fiber 1 is compensated only by the distribution compensating fiber 2.
