PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable resistor for high voltage in which electrical connection can be made, without using solder and which can transmit a voltage impressed upon the resistor through a capacitor to a connection terminal, without causing the voltage to be damped. SOLUTION: This variable resistor is constituted, in such a way that a through-hole 22b is formed through the central part of a terminal electrode 22a of a board 2. In the connection terminal, a narrow capacitor connecting section 8a passed through the through-hole 22b and a broad shoulder section 8b are formed integrally at the root section of the connecting section 8a. The capacitor-connecting section 8a of the connecting terminal is passed through a conductive rubber 7, held between the shoulder section 8b and the surface of the board 2 in a press-contacted state and the rubber 7 is adhered closely to the terminal electrode 22a formed around the through-hole 22b. One end section 101 of a capacitor 100 arranged on the rear surface of the substrate 2 is connected to the capacitor-connecting section 8a, extended to the rear surface side of the substrate 2. |
