The motor control circuit comprises a microprocessor (110) which provides digital control signals, which lead to production of a reference output voltage. A comparator circuit (112) has one input connected to this reference and one input connected to a motor current analysis circuit (116). The comparator output controls the motor current switching circuit. The motor control circuit comprises a microprocessor (110) which provides digital control signals and an analogue-digital converter (108) receiving these signals and providing a reference output voltage. A comparator circuit (112) has one input connected to this reference and one input connected to an analysis circuit (116). The output of the comparator is connected to a switching circuit connected in series with the analysis circuit. The switching circuit controls the flow of current through the motor (102) and the analysis circuit.
