<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solar cell element substrate which satisfies requirements for improved characteristics in performance, for lower cost and effective use of a resource, related to manufacturing of a polycrystal silicon substrate. SOLUTION: With a jig comprising a through hole provided, a sample powder 7 is packed inside the through hole using a sintering device in which an upper punch 9A and a lower punch 9B are inserted from both ends of the through hole. Then the powder is pressurized by the punch while a pulse current is applied in its pressurizing axis direction so that the discharge plasma is generated inside the through hole. Thus, the sample powder 7 is sintered as a polycrystal body to provide the solar cell element substrate.</p> |
