PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage area having a first edge and a second edge for the storage of data elements in a method, system, and device for managing the storage of data elements. SOLUTION: In this storage area, the first stack of data elements is provided with a first edge and a second edge respectively facing the first edge and second age of the storage area, and the second stack is provided with a data element positioned adjacently to the both edges of the first stack. That is, the second stack is divided, and the first stack is interposed between the data elements of the second stack. In the same way, the third or fourth stack or the like can be arranged, and they can be divided into a plurality of parts. The size of the stack is increased toward the both the first edge of the storage area and the second edge of the storage area according as respective continuous data elements are stored in those stacks. Moreover, when the size of one of the divided stacks is increased, the size can be increased away from the first stack or toward the first stack.
