PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone set which enables a user to recognize the state of an incoming call when receiving an incoming call, without adding any control means to inform the main body of the incoming call state, and also to provide a speech I/O system that is used for the mobile telephone set. SOLUTION: This mobile telephone set is provided with a main body 10 for inputting and outputting sound information like incoming tone, busy tone and music by using a speech I/O device 20 having an outputting part 26 to put on a user's ear, a control unit 24 for operating I/O that is placed between outputting part 26 of speech I/O device 20 and the main body 10 by way of codes 21a, 21b. An excitation means 24d, which is controlled from the main body, is set to control unit 24 for vibrating the control unit during receiving a call to let a user recognize the incoming call state.
