PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a PCI bus transaction from the local node of a PCI bus to a PCI bus on a remote node via a network. SOLUTION: A transaction request from a PCI environment is received in the PCI interface (307) of a PCI network adapter (321A) at a local side and a destination node concerning it and a destination PCI address are decided in an address/node ID converting mechanism (309). A network unit (315) assembles a packet which comprises the transaction request, the destination node ID and the destination address and transmits the packet to a PCI network adapter (321B) at a remote side by way of the network 317.
