The jib (10), especially for a load-handing machine used in industry, consists of an elongated box-section body with top, bottom and side walls (22, 24, 26, 28) and has an inner partition (34) forming a separate compartment (30) containing fluid lines (32) or cables. The jib body is of rectangular cross-section, and its walls and inner partition are of welded construction.
