PURPOSE: A telephone connection device is provided to implement high-quality Internet telephone communication through a terminal device which can be connected to an Internet network, such as a PC(Personal Computer), using an analog telephone set, and to alarm the generation of an incoming call when a call signal is generated in the analog telephone set through a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) during an Internet telephone call. CONSTITUTION: A USB(Universal Serial Bus) connector(110) connects with a USB connection port of a PC. A speaker signal connector(115) and a microphone signal connector(120) connect with a speaker output port and a microphone input terminal of a sound card respectively. An external speaker connector(125) outputs a speaker output signal to an external speaker. A handset connector(150) connects with a handset of an analog telephone set. A handset port connector(155) connects with a handset connection port of the analog telephone set. A local port connector(160) connects with a local connection port of the analog telephone set. A PSTN connector(165) connects with an external PSTN through a telephone line. A ring signal detector(170) detects a ring signal received through the PSTN. An alarm driver(175) drives an alarm unit if a ring signal is detected. An echo canceller(130) removes an echo from an audio signal inputted from the speaker signal connector(115) and outputted to the microphone signal connector(120). A switching unit(140) performs switching to allow the handset connector(150) to form a speech path by passing the echo canceller(130), speaker and microphone signal connectors(115,120) and PC or passing the handset port connector(155), analog telephone set, local port connector(160) and PSTN connector(165). And the switching unit(140) performs switching to allow a signal inputted through the PSTN connector(165) to be inputted to the ring signal detector(170) or to be outputted to the local port of the analog telephone set through the local port connector. Also the switching unit(140) performs switching to allow an audio signal inputted through the speaker signal connector(115) to be outputted to the external speaker through the external speaker connector(125) or to suspend an output of the audio signal.
