The method involves sending at least one sequence of reports with reception strengths at the mobile part(s) (MS) and/or serving base station to a computer unit (RE), dividing the region served by the base station(s) (B5) into raster cells (PIX), determining observation probabilities using noise models for raster cells for all relevant reports, maximizing an anticipated value for the sequence(s) of reports by varying input, output and transition probabilities and processing the products of observation probabilities and transition probabilities for sequences of reports for all paths of the same length. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for traffic localization in cellular mobile radio network.
