The system has upper fuselage cladding that ejects on detection of a hazard, deployable emergency wings and rear braking parachute and forward pivotable braking rockets; when the speed is reduced a main parachute is deployed, the braking chute is erected, the braking rockets are deployed to the braking position and ignited, then the upper fuselage separates from the lower fuselage and a soft landing of the upper fuselage takes place.
