PURPOSE: A system control method using a touch screen is provided to discriminate a system control command and text input according to a figure and a size of the moving data detected from the touch screen of a portable device such as a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). CONSTITUTION: The PDA system comprises a key input part(10) to input a key input, the touch screen(11) and a driver(12) to input the data by using a hand of a user and an electronic pen, a system command discriminator(16) discriminating that the data inputted from the touch screen is the control command data or the text data, a display(15) to display an operation state according to the control command and the text, a controller(13) controlling the component devices, a memory(14) storing the data necessary for the control operation, a command recognizer(17) and a command database(18) to discriminate the control command data in the system command discriminator, a text recognizer(19) and a text database(20) discriminating the text data. |
