PURPOSE: A method for predicting a rear-end collision of a vehicle in an emergency is provided to make a driver of a following vehicle drive a vehicle defensively by automatically blinking an alarm lamp even without the operation of an alarm switch when an emergency state occurs. CONSTITUTION: A no-load state is continuously detected by an acceleration pedal state sensor by an ECU(Electronic Control Unit). If a driver steps off a foot from an accelerator pedal in an emergency state, a no-load signal is inputted from the acceleration pedal state sensor. A gear change from a high speed range to a lower speed range is detected by a gear shift sensor. An engine brake is operated when a gear is shifted from a high speed range to a lower speed range. Then, an alarm lamp switch is turned on, and an alarm lamp is automatically blinked. |
