The convertible motor vehicle has a movable roof construction which in one position forms a closed rigid roof for the vehicle's interior, and in another position leaves it open, whereby the roof section are stowed. The rear C-pillars each consist of two sub-assemblies which are not interconnected. The inner rear C-pillar sub-assembly consists of two parallel linkages which support the roof, and the outer rear C-pillar sub-assemblies form the outer skin of the vehicle. Both outer rear C-pillar sub-assemblies are rigidly interconnected by the rear window (6) and so form the rear window section.
