The fuel injector consists of an injector case (9) fitted with a needle nozzle (14), surrounded by a nozzle chamber (18). The needle moves along its axis, guided by the guide segments (16, 20) of the case. The pressure is generated by the spring (11), sealing against its seat (30) in the case. An annular volume (23) is formed between the needle and a conical section (33) formed in the wall (8) of the case, below the narrowed section (21) of the needle.
