PURPOSE: A jig for installing a cowl cross bar is provided to improve the precision of cowl cross bar installation by making the alignment of the cowl cross bar easy. CONSTITUTION: A jig for installing a cowl cross bar includes a surface plate(3), support bodies(5,7), setting supports(9,11), and a height adjusting unit. The surface plate maintains the horizontal state for the horizontal regulation of a cowl cross bar(1). Many bolt holes(13) are formed on the surface plate to install the pair of the support bodies. The setting supports are installed symmetric to the support bodies to regulate the center of the cowl cross bar in the horizontal state. The height adjusting unit regulates the horizon and center of the cowl cross bar by moving upward and downward the setting supports on the support bodies.
