PURPOSE: To provide a delivery system for contents data and a portable telephone by which an incoming melody can be registered/changed easily. CONSTITUTION: Users of portable telephones 10, 11,... access a server 50 via a base station 20, a telephone network 30, and base station control part 40 from their own portable telephones 10, 11,..., and they request the delivery of musical contents data. The server 50 certifies the portable telephones 10, 11,..., and delivers to them the requested musical contents data and incoming melody. In this case, the users pay a charge only for the musical contents data.
