PURPOSE: A pneumatic seat belt winding apparatus for a vehicle is provided to prevent a driver and occupants from being damaged by automatically winding a seat belt when suddenly braking the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A seat belt assembly includes a webbing(1), a retractor(2), a mini anchor(3), a tong plate(4), and a buckle(5). A rod(62) of a piston is connected to a lower end of the buckle(5). A pneumatic single acting cylinder(6) is installed below the buckle(5). A lower end of the pneumatic single acting cylinder(6) is fixed to one side of a seat. A solenoid valve(7) is installed on an air pipe(63) having a return spring therein. The operation of the solenoid valve(7) is controlled by a control section(10). The control section(10) checks the operating state of a brake by receiving a signal from a brake state detecting sensor(9) and generates a control signal based on the detected signal so as to selectively operate the solenoid valve(7).
