ALUMINA CEMENT FOR RECOVERY OF BONE DEFECT AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An alumina cement for recovery of bone defect and its preparation method are provided, to improve the mechanical properties and to reduce the curing time by employing powdered LiF and liquid maleic acid. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of mixing calcia and alumina in a specific ratio; sintering the mixture; pulverizing the sintered one; adding an aqueous solution of LiF and maleic acid to the pulverized one; and curing the solution. The contents of LiF and maleic acid are 0.1-20 wt% and 1-20 wt%, respectively, based on the weight of the pulverized one. Preferably the pulverized one has a particle size of 5 micrometers or less.
