PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a CRMB(Concentration Redundancy Management Board) according to network connection duplication is provided to perform an efficient network management maintenance and offer a service with a higher quality by quickly notifying the state of a DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexing) and the fault and defect state of a system itself to a network manager. CONSTITUTION: A DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexing)(100) has the first CRUB(Concentration Redundancy Up-link Board)(110) for periodically detecting the fault and defect state of a self board and outputting a state signal corresponding to the detected fault and defect state, and the second CRUB(120) for being a standby state when the first CRUB(110) performs an active operation, periodically detecting the fault and defect state of an itself board, and outputting a state signal corresponding to the detected fault and defect state. The DSLAM(100) has a CRMB(130) for receiving each state signal from the first and second CRUBs(110,120), analyzing the received state signal, inserting an inverse IRQ1 signal corresponding to the analyzed result into an 155M STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode)-1 frame, and outputting the STM-1 frame. A network connection device(200) receives the 155M STM-1 frame from the CRMB(130) and simultaneously passes the received 155M STM-1 frame. An NAS(Network Access Server)(300) receives the 155M STM-frame from the network connection device(200) and simultaneously separates service data and control information inserted into the 155M STM-1 frame. A router(400) receives the service data from the NAS(300) and simultaneously performs an operation corresponding to the service data. An NMS(Network Maintenance Server)(500) receives control information from the NAS(300) and simultaneously displays the state of control information to an operator.
