PURPOSE: A method for displaying a remaining amount of a battery is provided, which provides more convenience in using a terminal by removing an abrupt battery discharge while using the terminal. CONSTITUTION: According to the method for displaying a remaining amount of a battery of a mobile communication terminal comprising a battery, a battery voltage detection part and an LCD display, a voltage detected in the battery voltage detection part is read and a table 1 showing a remaining current ratio to the battery detection voltage stored in a memory is loaded(ST12), if a user selects a battery remaining amount display menu(ST11). The remaining current value corresponding to the detected voltage is extracted(ST13), by comparing the loaded table 1 to the detected voltage. It is checked whether a terminal reception intensity is inputted, and a table 2 showing a comparison of a consumed current value according to the reception intensity stored in the memory is loaded(ST15) if the reception intensity is inputted(ST14). A consumed current value corresponding to the reception intensity is extracted(ST16), by comparing the extracted remaining current value to the consumed current value. A reception standby time and a call possible time are calculated(ST17) by calculating the extracted remaining current value and the consumed current value. Then, the calculated reception standby time and the call possible time are displayed on the LCD numerically(ST18).
